    That was the first version.

    It sat too low to the ground. It dragged a little bit in the compression between South Bend and Oak Tree. It added too much drag and made the car pretty psychotic on turn-in. I've since remade the top bracket portion that replaces the stock tow hooks. I used 1/4" steel. Basically I stick the bolt through the top bracket, slip the splitter and lower bracket on so it rests on that bolt... slip the QR-pin in place, then put a nut on the bolt and tighten. My tow hook loops through the round cutout which makes it a pain to get the splitter up and in place. Installation is not quite as quick as I would like, but it comes off fairly quickly once the motor is cool enough to reach into the engine bay and loosen up the cinch nut for the splitter.

    The newer brackets sit the splitter blade at the legal height and decreases the drag penalty a good bit.
