Its not a waste of money if the person wanted to do it. If you look at the whole car modding deal from your standpoint, its all a waste of money b/c we devalue our car when it comes to reselling it w/ all the parts on it to a dealership. However, if you spend money on anything for happiness or personal satisfaction, then it is NOT a waste of money. Also there is an advantage to it. JDM Front ends got HIDs, where was USDM ones don't. So that means you can see more of what's in front of you at night time while at the same time the lights consume less power then halogen. As far as the money situation goes, I think in her case she swapped front ends with somebody, so its very doubtful that she went into debt by doing it. I think her car looks great w/ it on there. And she seems very happy with it being on there, so that is what counts the most.
