ok back to the topic. hence that V-TEC and V-TEC-i are almost the same but have one slight difference between them. okay with toyota i know most of you guys have heard of VVTi. (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) The way toyota works is that they control the intake sides timing with oil pressure by advancing it. Now with V-TEC it runs on a certain rpm range to engage. With VVT-I it contiously changes during driving by changing is mechanical timing. Now with V-TEC-I, Just combine VVTI and V-TEC together and you get a general idea how V-TECI works.
