I was running on Kumho Ecsta MX steret tires (my VIR rear wheels/tires) @ 25 psi rear and 40 psi front. Did a burnout until I could see smoke then launched anywhere from 2500 to 3000 rpms w/ a little clutch slip and a semi-granny shift into 2nd gear to prevent excess wheel hop.

My most fun race of the night was against a pullied down '03 cobra. I've met the guy a few tiems before at the strip, but he was alway stock and running low 13's. I asked him if he'd finally gotten smart and pullied the car. He had and was maknig 450 at the wheels and running on DR's. I can't find the time slip... shit.

oh well, I tree'd him w/ a .052 rt to his .1xx but he ran a 1.90 60' to my 1.97 so we were dead even. Then we were basicaly side by side screamin' the whole way down the track, we kept on looking over at each other, dead even. I pulled about 1/2 a car by the end and won the race. It was a 12.25 @ 116.xx to his 12.31 @ 114.xx. He loved it... said it was the best drag he'd had and was going home.
dont feel bad. my quest for 12's was a resounding failure.

13.1 @ 111.
