Yeah, but its not even a hemispherical design. The combustion chamber is similar to a hemi, but it is not a hemi head. It's called a Pent-roof combustion chamber. To have a completely hemispherical combustion chamber with 4 valves would be way too expensive for practicality on a production car.
And GM seems to be doing just fine with a wedge design and pushrods.
You are correct but it is still an efficent design that derived from it.
Sure GM is doing fine, but alot of things could be
better. They just arent effiecent as hemi/pent-roof design on hondas and toyotas and others. Power per sq inch in other words.
