Not only are some improperly angled, but people are using aftermarket "kits" that do not control the light output correctly. There is no beam pattern to them. The light just goes everywhere and is very bright. I used to have them on my car, but to tell you the truth I didn't like them very much. Like mentioned before, retrofitting proper HID projectors into your exsisting housings is the best option for proper beam control and output.
