.02...Car makers are about money. If performance oriented cars were more profitable then they would be more apt to make them. Unfortunately I don't see that happening. I think the average import car will remain just that...average. Sure STI's, EVOs, 350z will all come out. But we all know what happens. They come here the price inflates then the sales numbers drop and its back to square one. The average import inthusiasts does not run out and spend $30,000+ dollars on an import. Therefore, import manufactures don't bring them over. Economy cars with some pep sell. Japanese automakes will cater to their pockets. Import enthusiasts do not drive import auto sales. Here is something to ponder...How many of you bought BRAND NEW performance oriented imports? Now how many of you bought USED import and then decided to modify them? I'm sure more of you chose the later. The later does not help sell import performance sales. Thats NOT to say I wouldn't like to see more perfomance oriented imports. I just feel it is wishful thinking.
