Well, actually and very suprisinglly all I was able to land was a full tire deal and a partial fuel sponsor if I run elf. I really like the power gains of the elf but am having so much good luck with the MR9. What I did was send them a portfolio (resume) if you will of myself and my racing "career." They really loved the layout and the effort put into it and I landed the first tire company I talked to... I have a tire deal with Avon tires. They send me tires and I race on them. If they come out with a new compound they send me a set and I give them feedback. I kind of landed this one perfect in the sense that I had a budy of mine who used to be sponsored by them (he had a partial sponsorship) I unfortunatelly took his place on the east coast. But you have to try and be willing to give results. That means going as far south as Homestead, FL to compete and as far north as Loudon, NH (Or Mid-Ohio, they are both equally far for me...)
