the belt doesnt...so your actual belt/gears will be in time. however....the cams will move when you take the gears off. i dont like to risk bending a valve (i had to fix a few that were damaged by repairs) so i like to back it off a little.


if i recall....in the FSM it says something about backing the crank off a little when installing the head or new cams.


when i get back to VA i will look it up on ALLDATA....but its in there somewhere (at least i recall it being there)
