my point is that 2wd trucks are lifted all the time with long travel IFS to run desert rally races. i never intended to imply that this guy should lift his explorer, i was just stating that its not always stupid to lift a 2wd.

you said it was pointless to lift a 2wd truck.... go tell the baja racers what they do is pointless.

and as far as your dumbass weight comment... an explorer curb weight is right at 4,286 lbs that is a whole 80 lbs heavier then a ford F150. if you put 14" wide tires you would have no problems at all, hell if you put 12.5 wide tires you would be fine. i drive a 4runner with 12.5 wide tires on it, my 4runner weighs just over 4000, i had 3 guys and about 300 lbs of camping gear in it.... drove on the sand for a weekend trip.... never got stuck.
