Fact, a turbo VTEC motor (all other things being equal) will make more power and be faster than a non VTEC motor. the VTEC motors have MUCH better flowing heads, more aggressive cams that will make more power under boost, better gearing, etc. Tuning is however, very important - as it is with any turbo motor. If you don't tune any boosted motor, VTEC or not, you are going to blow the bitch up. People used to have problems with hitting boost from vacuum right at the VTEC crossover, but that is easily remedied with tuning.
