How much timing w/ how much boost?
I have ran 33 degress @ 35psi w/ a T61 on C-16 and the motor loved it.
With pump gas and the same turbo I could run 18 deg @ 22psi with no knock. I agree pump gas is dangerous at elevated boost levels and race fuel is worth the power increase if you can utilize it with a proper tune.
