changing the pcv wont really help anything, but im sure alot of gunk in the t/b is by product of all sorts of nasty crap being yuked out the pcv.
if you cant get to the thermowax thing three 10mm {wrench size} bolts hold it on. you can remove those, or just take the tb off and flip it sideways.
