Exceptions: spinning tires and varied tire circumfrence. No traction means that the car is not moving forward at the predicted rate of tire rotation at a given rpm and gear. Changing the tire height (and therefore the circumfrence) would also alter the distance travelled for the same tire rotation using a different tire size at a given rpm and gear. I'm a nerd.
