The problem was that I was using slicks and skinnies the time that I was at Old Dominion. I do not race with street tires because if I am going to the track, then I am going to make the most out of the experience. Like stated above, the 1/8th is perfect for launching and shifting with the lower gears. So I was not going to waste my time and go down the track if I cant have the slicks warm for a proper launch.
