usdm is 10.1:1
jdm is 10.6:1
type s is 11.1:1
The difference is the pistons in all three, and the type s has different valvetrain and cams. But the type s usually runs about 1000 more or so for a swap. So as long as theyre not making you pay more for the "type s" engine, then i would say just buy a harness and put it in. If it really is a type s, you should sell me the airbox
