im not sure cyberdemon and dont quote me on this, but to my knowledge the srt-4 engine isnt new. i beleive it came in a form of another car in mexico. though with less boost pressure and a different tranny.

The JA engine and the PT engine are similar, but not the same. the ones that came from mexico in the Mexican Stratus R/T were a 2.4L Turbo much like the current PT-Turbo and SRT4 engines, but there are differences. The oiling setup and the oiling galleries in the block are different and the interals are different. The PT-Turbo/SRT 4 have I believe different compression ratio than the Mexican Stratus R/T.
