It is pointless because it serves NO PURPOSE. The lug nuts center the wheels (if you use the proper taper lug nut for that particular wheel) the lug nut will center the wheel perfectly. All the hubcentric ring does is line the damn wheel up BEFORE you put the lug nuts on. Why the hell do you need that? The hubcentric ring has no strutcrual support it doesn't make the wheels attach better, it's a waste of damn money.
