Re: IMSTAR @ MIR- September 11
Gio, a question about the classes:
Why are there 2 classes for _0_ power adders and 2 classes for _2_ power adders? Why is there no class for _1_ power adder? I have a pretty quick car, but it's just a regular dailer driver with almost everything stock except for exhaust and a tuning device, but from the looks of this, I can either go up against full out drag cars with turbo+N2O or full out drag cars with S/C+N2O, haha. Is this just the norm or what? I could probably qualify in the top 16 or whatever, but there's really no incentive for someone like me to participate, and I think my type of setup is predominant within the community at-large (intake, exhaust, tune, pass emissions, drive to work, etc).
Suggestions, thoughts, comments? I would love to attend with The Speed Factor, seeing as they are sponsoring me in my racing endeavors, but I'd much prefer to have a class that's somewhat winnable (or competitive) for a regular, everyday car...
Edit: Oops, there are 2 classes for 2 power adders, but only one that applies to me (4cyl AWD). I'm guessing that all the restrictions on interior, windows, suspension, etc., are to help keep the Street Renegade class somewhat normal and devoid of plexiglassed, wheelie-barred race cars? That would probably help some as long as everything is enforced, especially the interior stuff.
Also, by exhaust, it says "turbo or muffler(s)." What does that mean? I have a full exhaust, but I'm not sure what this means for other cars.
