Actually Europe pays more due to refining and shipping problems, but mostly because their gas is taxed very heavily by their own governments. And $70 a barrell for light sweet crude oil isnt just because of Opec necessarily but more due to higher energy demand from developing nations like China. Gas near my house is $2.53 at 711 and Sheetz is $2.49. Looking to see gas hit $3 at the pump soon with all our refineries killed in that damn hurricane. blah.
