I've had both, and would say that it would be a tough call. The Porsche would never be driveable at those numbers (1000HP), though at 509 hp, it would still offer a great amount a fun. Porsche will never be beat in the area of setting up cars for road races. Toyota, on the other hand, makes a super strong motor in the 2jz, through a lot of development on the 7MGTE and 1JZGTE projects. But it would take a LOT of money to get it close to the handling of the 996.

My choice:
Toyota for a daily driver,
the Porsche if I just needed another car to add to the stables for a few drives a year and some club races.
