This is true, but find me the thread where Tim is bragging about the performance of a stock 240. And if you want to talk moddified, keep in mind that dollar for dollar, mod for mod, a 10 year old 240 will beat the dog shit out of this new civic.

How do you know its slow? Have your driven it? Do you know any numbers on it? Do you know what price range its in? I say price range so you can judge, ok for "$$$" you can get this car rather than the slow civic. All i know is a 200 hp out of a 4 cylinder for 19K, that gets excellent gas mileage, holds its value incredibly well, damn near maintenance free(if you dont fuck with it). So for a stock 19K car, with all the good qualities I stated, its a damn good car.
Would you say it'll be as reliable as an RSX-S?? One of my best friends just bought an '05 RSX and has had to take it in for service 3 times in just a couple thousand miles. One more time and it gets given back as a lemon. Don't kid yourself, Hondas can have just as many problems as any other car.

Also, if you're spitting facts about it.... Where are you getting these facts from. Great gas mileage? 6.0L vettes get better gas mileage. Holds it's value? Have you seen one on the used market already? Don't claim facts about the car when none exsist yet.

Oh and by the way, you can brag up 200hp, but don't leave out the fact that it also makes 12lbft of torque and weighs nearly 3000 pounds. The "tuner" appeal of old civics is that they weigh next to nothing. You could go fast with very little hp because of this. Now they're still making little hp but have to lug around 3000 pounds. And as far as numbers go, last I heard they were running mid 15s. That's not fast.
