look up the invoice price for the vehicle on edmunds.com or a similar site. then add $200-$500 to that, and call the dealership with that offer. that's for vehicles with relatively normal demand. cavaliers and shit you can usually get below invoice. but the important thing is to do all this over the phone... driving around is a waste of time for new cars.
