You also said you dont care how many DSM were produced and that you can name a hand full of DSM's owners that have had their car crankwalk on them. Name them... Second of all, do you think there is a car out there that doesnt have it's problems?
- Like I stated before GM truck with their rear ends... replace one of those see how much it cost...
- Let an 03 Cobra overheat with it's coolant TSB... How much do you think that engine cost
- What about Ford and their cruise control wires burning the cars down... yeah that sure would be nice... Im sure the ladies how that burned down cost around the same as an engine
Should I go on once again or just tell you to reread my post above? Obviously you overlook shit you can't argue.
Rephrased Question for Spic

Your only defense as to why DSM's are a piece of shit is because they break. On a stock DSM, why do you personally think they are a piece of shit and also what makes them unreliable?
Tell me about them... go for it... wait less me guess, lack of maintance from her or previous owners. Lack of knowledge on the car, Lack of enough intellegence to stoop down to dating someone like yourself? Maybe that's why they are ex's....
223K MILES... wtf this isnt a diesel you dont expect a car to smoke on a stock motor at 223K miles? As for the clutch issue.... the shit was a stock clutch and the boost wasnt at a stock setting... Then when he replaced it he went ghetto cheap with a shitty clutch... that is his own fault. Then you bring in the broken axle... HEY Eclipz broke and axle too, both which were stock axles guess why... ADVANS and a LAUNCH.... Learn your facts before you try and bust on me with my own friends cars....
So now would you like me to go on about how all of your post in this thread have lacked any sort of knowledge pertaining to Fresh's question?
Stock or modd'd, DSM's have problems. Sorry.
I've dated 3 girls with DSM's. '91 Talon (rings at ~100k miles), a '91 Talon (synchro's at ~130k miles.. we think, it just stopped shifting into everything except 4th and reverse.), and a 97 Eclipse (crankwalk). All three of those were stock. They were owned by teenage females, you can't tell me they were beat on. 2 of the other Eclipses I personally know that crankwalked were stock, and 2 were fairly mod'd. That's 2 for 5 on the mod'd vs. stock argument. PS. - Of the three, I dumped 2. kthx.
Is this thread about Cobras? F150s? GM trucks? No.
Are DSM's shittier than TC's?
Fuck yes they are.
You told me to try 'knocking' on Bandits car. I told you my personal experience with it. What else do you want to know? The fact of the matter is you brought it up like it was supposed to be 'reliable', when I've only seen the car in 'good' running condition 2-3 out of the ~dozen times I've seen it. I had a Thunderbird with
~210k miles on it, larger tires on the rear (245 KDW's, and 245 Pirellis, in place of the stocker 215's, since I guess the brand of the tire is an acceptable excuse for breaking?), 22psi, and full exhaust. Stock engine, stock trans, stock rear. I beat on my car harder than Bandit beats on his car (for nearly 8 months), and the only thing that ever broke was my throw-out bearing. Don't try to impress me with high-mileage bullshit. I love Jacky, I love his car, but it's not fucking reliable, and you bringing that car up into a DSM reliablity thread is retarded. I'm not trying to 'bust' you on your own friends car,
you're the one that brought it up...
edit: and my Tbird wasn't diesel either.
