Either way is going to cost you money to make decent power. Either way will inherently be less reliable than bone stock. Either way will lower your gas mileage compares to stock.

In the end, it's going to come down to what you intend to do with the car other than just daily drive it and horsepower goals you have.

Um, I don't know why you would say that. I worked on a turboed del sol, and the mileage went up considerably(from about 45 to 53mpg highway). IMO, go boosted, it's too addictive to get away from.
