Default Re: Good or Bad deal?

Base, ES or R/T?

If its the DOHC motor (ES/R/T), you can either drop a used Japan TT engine and ECU in it, ("speedfreaksteve" on 3si.org), or you can get a 10:1 DOHC motor and do a TT conversion. Go to 3si.org and read. Also go to Stealth316.com for some VERY useful info. Like half of the FWD owners on 3si have TT conversions.

Be prepared though, these cars can be a pain and the testdrive is EVERYTHING. There are many people on the forums that haven't even gotten a chance to mod yet because they're tied up in mainainence/ repairs. These are NAs I'm talking about btw. To me, since I have to take my car to a shop everytime something happens since I don't have a garage, its not worth it for a non turbo. Only get the car if you have a garage and can do some work yourself.

My DOHC NA motor cost me 1100 shipped with 41k on it. After 1000+ miles, its still running smooth as hell. If you want to go cheap and keep it a DD, I'd just drop a DOHC motor in there, at 222 crank hp/ 205tq, its not slow.

IM me on AIM if you have anymore questions.
