Here's the main post incase non members can't read the thread...

Ok, this has been brewing in me for along time and I have to post about it !
Are we as ZO6 Vette/Viper/Ford GT etc. etc. owners done?
Are we as Hot Rodders - V8, V10 guys done?
Are the RICERS just taking over?

My reasons :
1. I see RICERS everywhere. (Street/Car Shows/Magazines)
2. Movies, we've had to endure "Fast and Furious I and II" now III!
3. TV (TLC/ESPN/SPIKE TV/Discovery etc. etc.) All promote Ricers!
4. Stores (Disc. Auto Parts/Pep Boys etc. etc.) full of Ricer crap!
5. TLC "The next Gen. Hot Rod - The HONDA CIVIC!!!!!"

NHRA : The NHRA is trying to grow. There have been some empty stands @ some events when those 8000HP Fulers are on the starting line!!!! What a shame!!!
So the NHRA not being stupid, started their Import series and those series are PACKED!!!

NOPI : I've never been so discusted @ all the crappy RICERS
...then thrilled at all the beautiful girls @ the same time!!!!
I mean these RICER events are packed w/ HOT CHICK after HOT CHICK!!!! There are tons of women at these events!!!

Personal Ex. #1 :
(Not including on the street in my Z encounters-i'd be here all nt.)

Dad's toy : 32 Ford Coupe (640ci Rodeck Big Block, Brodix heads, 14.1 compression, narrowed Strange Rear end)..well you get the picture 1 Bad A$$ machine!! We'd role down the I-75 abt. 60mph. and get on it and it would be picking the wheels up!!

We role into car show " full of Ricers and a few Hot Rod guys " we rap the throttle and all their little lights and car alarms go off!!!
We shut it down and they all run over and are looking it over.....We here comments like : "Yo dog dis thing dud'nt hv a stereo"..."Yo I gotsa full bottle of NOS I might be able to get you frm a dig!!!"

My buddy has an awsome C4 Vette 96' Black on Black..has put alot of money into the car...Car has been stripped and painted Mercedes Black and Stroked 383 ci running a D1SC ProCharger..BBS wheels and Wilwood Brakes etc. A really nice and mean Vette!!!


Rolled into the car show this past Saturday @ Sonic : It was the RICER / NEON Circus show...but A TON OF GIRLS..so we go in w the Vette just sounding mean ...ya know "Whirrr a Whirrrrr" for you ProCharger guys and the CI. of the 383 LT...

3 girls walk up " YO man dis damn thing sounds like sh!t B! "
Another girls " Dog, he aint even got any NOS "....?!?!?
WE LEFT!

I mean I can't be the only one that feels this way...What the HELL happened? I mean their cars sound like crap, they MAKE NO TORQUE...and I don't care if it goes out and runs a 5 sec. 1/4...I promise you it'll blow on the nxt run or oil the track down or dump its little guts on the return road...Hey, I CAN BUILD A GO CART any day...I just don't get it...

There's nothing better sounding or running than that big "throaty" V8...
