I have spanked the living sh1t out of every boosted Honda I have run, with the exception of 1. I just havent seen the reason for all the work involved to turbo and swap it and they still run 13's if the are lucky. I can def see the insurance reason, but I def think that it is more of the personal preference. I know there is a couple on here that could run with my Buick, but line up most any F Body on this board with the AVERAGE boosted Honda (or other import that had boost added) and it doesnt stand a snowballs chance in hell. My Z28 had $425 in perf parts and put down 325/340 at the wheels.
Flame away.....just my .02

we have already concluded that there are not as many fast imports on the streets as domestics. That does not mean it cant be done. I have a bone stock crv motor in my car now which can be had for $500 plus shipping, and i have a turbo kit on it which can be had for approx $2500 then add another $500-$1000 in tunning and thats where i am now. The problem with the majority of boosted hondas that are being seen is that they do not spend the money to have their car tuned correctly and either have a EMS system with just a base map and not dynoed tuned, or are running off an fmu and AFC controller.
