And your friend was how old? Like 17ish. 90% of the time, minors are treated different.(especially in VaBeach for first time offences) .
My first offense was wreckless driving/driving with the intent to kill 120 in a 50, and eluding the police(the cop was driving his personal vehicle). And yes I know what i did was stupid as fuck. I was a minor at the time and since it was my first offense, I was off to driving school(clinic) and that was it. I learned an important lesson that day.
