Default Re: New car suggestions..

i need to ride in/drive an s2k. do dealerships still do that thing where they give you the car for the weekend to see if its what you like? im really no good at going on a 20 min test drive (if that) and passing judgement on a car. Id love an M3 but as stated before, ownership costs. the insurance on a finaced M3 would kill. not only that but as i hear, Bimmers arent the cheapest cars to fix and or mod. im not looking for dirt cheap, just dont wanna have to skip grocery shopping because i needed a trim peice that fell off or vaccum hose.

The 330ci looks nice, but the 6spd version isnt the easiest to find, also, in the looks category, I really like the 2k5 models better and they are a bit out of what im looking to spend.

I need to test ride/drive an evo for sure because it seems to have phenominal reviews. and the top gear review was also cool, except that was an FQ400 which, no way in hell will i afford, less even find.

The supra is comfortable, and sleek, and the interior is great IMO, and they are also the car I am most familiar with. Although they are a heavy bitch, we all know they can move with the quickness. also with minor bolt ons you can sit very happily at or near 400rwhp. Granted, they dont handle as well as one would hope, but a few suspension mods and BAM there ya go. the problem is finding a good one for a decent price. Alot of owners like to fiddle with the odometer, or not properly maintain the car.

I have re-opened the idea of the corvette because insurance is actually like everyone said, much cheaper than alot of the cars listed so its definitely back in the running.

The S2k (which is about only a grand or so less than the vette) has much less power, BUT as everyone said, has such a gorgeous look to it. I love the gauges, the seats, the trim, all together one of the sexiest cars ive seen. it would also probably be the lightest on my wallet (altho no a huge concern). but its compact size may become more abundant as time wears on ( why i want to have the car longer than 20 mins).

I love the top down roadster look of the 350Z's. the cover that hides the convertible top makes the car SO incredibly sexy (a big reason why I dig ferrari 360's) and the vette also has this that ive seen, altho im not sure im crazy about a convertible (blah blah s2k is convertible i know i know). But what does it take to mod a 350z so its a nice performer?

the G35 sport coupe. while it looks better than the 350z, for some reason it turns me off, i cant pinpoint it. ::shrug::
