Default Re: CLUTCH INSTALL

do it yourself...get a clutch off of ebay for 50-80...after that the install is simple, but a pain in the ass. you'll have to buy a clutch alignment tool as well which aren't that expensive...the easiest way to do it in your drive way is to unhook all the engine wires, undo the mounts(you're gonna need 2 jacks) unbolt the tranny, wiggle it outa position(its gonna take alot of wiggle) and then raise the tranny and lower the engine or vise versa, which ever allows for more clearance to the flywheel. take the flywheel off and then change the clutch...when you go to put the flywheel back into place thats when you're gonna need the centering tool....also remember that you'll have to take the axels out, as well as a few susp. peices to make it easier and allow for more clearance. its not as hard as it sounds, if you're even somewhat mechanically inclined you'll do it yourself...and save an ass load of cash...its not gonna take you 3 hours the first time, you might be looking at almost a days worth or work your first time at it, but its worth it.
