I did the auto to manual conversion on my 1989 240 hatch this weekend. Where the clutch pedal bolts in at there was an orange box that looked like it had a buzzer in it. It wasn't in the car I took the clutch pedal out of but i'm not sure what it controls. Question is :
1. What is it and what does it control?

2. Do I still need it?
