ZeroMR is absolutely correct. When you shift, you want to go down to the highest RPM possible so that it is in your powerband. all this shit about people shifting and catching up is a moot point when you race. If you are racing the car and shifting correctly, no one should be catching up to you as they have to shift as well and the hundreths you each lose will equal.
I dont know any racer that chooses the LS trans over an ITR or GSR. THE ITR may be a little too short, but the GSR is best suited for a boost app.
