Eagles, Raptors leave the nest as runway closes for repairs

By the end of the week, all operational 1st Fighter Wing F-22 Raptors and F-15 Eagles will have departed the base while the runway undergoes a 60-day closure.


So the base did close. I never noticed untill today that the planes weren't flying. So now i'm totally stumped about fighters from Langley, but maybe fighters from Oceana are to blame?
