FFX County Parkway backs up heading north in the morning to 66 because of the Fair Lakes traffic lights. 123 backs up in the morning if you are thinking of cutting thru Fairfax. Unless you are doing HOV, it can take an hour to get from FFX County Parkway to 495 on I-66. Then there is the backup from 495 to get onto Route 7 into Tysons Corner.
usually though after 66, traffic is cleared on 495 and you can go as fast as you want. it's right before 66 till around braddock where there's stop and go traffic.
