well me personally, i pull you over for something big, and if your a dick about it then i'll write you for everything i can write you for. but i don't like to write exhaust tickets because i have exhaust myself. but i will pull for it if you are driving through a high drug traffic area. i use dumb stuff like that to see who is in the car and to see if it leads to something bigger, like drugs, suspended license, warrants or other stuff. believe it or not i have gotten drugs and guns, and felons off the streets by doing traffic stops for dumb things....so just because you get pulled over for something stupid doesn't mean we aren't doing our jobs and we aren't looking for the big things, trust me we are. and you also have to keep in mind that trafic stops are a big part of our job also.
