i used to work at Ryder....you can either disconnect the driveshaft, put the car in neutral, or back the car in the dolly but you need to lock the steering wheel straight...it is recommended to disconnect the driveshaft...if you put the car in neutral, the car can log miles as you drive it because the speed sensor may be in the differental...if you back in your car, you may not have the wheels straight and your tires will feel it...HTH
