We were all excited when mj won... Before we went out to the track, nobody expected Matt was going to actually win the event. When he ended up finishing first it was just exciting and brought that reaction on... The race was so close until the very end it built up a lot of tension too...
What fucked up comments are you referring to? If you are talking about what the guy in the teal hatch said, he was just joking around. I was standing next to him when he said it. It was completely sarcastic. He probably just figured you would see the humor in what he said. I guess he didnt realize that people would turn it into something to use against him or dyno inc.
As for that last post by me. There was sarcasm in there aswell if it went un-noticed. Thats why I used the "lol."
I am starting to believe that there is nothing we can do to make a better image when it makes no difference what we say... If we talk to people and try to be friends, they will just turn it into something that it's not intended to mean. If we say NOTHING at all, somebody will just come out and say we "looked" like we were acting better than everybody else, or had a "better than everyone else attitude". If we just show up at an event somebody will make a thread about how we were doing something wrong. It's like we are damned if we do, damned if we don't...
Aside from closing the shop and leaving town, what would you all have us do? Are we supposed to be so perfect that we never make a mistake, or are we supposed to have the power to ensure that what we say isn't taken as something completely different? Seriously, we came out there to have fun and personally to learn the limits of my own car. Thats all...
What tranny did you buy? Old sohc Si tranny? Langley is just a much different event than any other events. The group of people going is much different the the group on here. Except now it is getting much popular with the dragva crowd. But we all talk to everyone, compared setups and driving tequniques. I talk to people out there that I normally would not associate myself with just becasue you can learn a little from everyone and everyone is there for the same reason. Just to have fun and thats it. The money for winning has nothing to do with it, casaeu $50 is not going to do shit if you wreck your car. I have no problems with dyno inc at all. Actually have friend affiliated with them. And I can't comment on your work, or any other shop, cause I am mre than capible doing all my own work. Will need someone to tune a car I'm building for a friend soon though.
