ok, and now the information people dont know.

it will cost you way more to properly build an ls/vtec than to just buy a b18c1. if you want to do it right, you'll want to rebuild the motor with GOOD parts, which arent cheap. sleeve it, rods, pistons, rebuild the botom end, and if you want it to last you'll want a b17 crank. that helps improve the horrible R/S ratio it will have, and also lowers the displacement of the motor. i mean think about it....if you want to do an LS/vtec, you cant just slap the head on it and rev it to 8k. the bottom end CANT take it for long. it's like revving a stock car 1500-2k past it's stock redline. ls/vtecs normally make way more power than a b18c1 because they are built before they even go into the car....

if i was going to do a frankenstein motor i'd just do a b20 block w/ a b18 crank....because b17 cranks are like gold. almost impossible to find, and they're like 7-800 bux from the acura dealer.
