ROFLMAO!! I figured you would have forgotten all about that. Some coworkers were giving me shit about that on Friday when we were doing work in that same room and I mentioned the desk that I "utilized" at the time was still there.
I might actually look into working up there. I've been considering it lately.
Put in a resume at the very least. Hell, if it isnt something you want to do then tell em "no thanks". Theyve got more work than they know what to do with right now and a couple old timers croaked in the last ~3 weeks so I know theyre short at least two ppl LOL.
Are you off all week for shut down too?
I managed to get out of working two days of shut down but us maintenance guys are usually required to work most if not all of it. Theyve got so much business right now that shut down is minimal with no huge projects so I managed to wrangle a couple days off unlike last years shut down where we practically dismantled the entire plant and put it back togeather in 9 days. That one was hell....

Nothing a little counter steer action and throttle modulation wont take care of. My AWD stuff is nice but its boring and I miss sawing back and forth on the steering wheel to keep the shiney side up. Maybe its just me...
Damn, I couldn't pay you enough for what I would need.

What do you do now? Looks like you can do a lot of shit.
Keep in mind Im pushing 40yrs old and have been a lot of places, done a lot of shit, and continue to challenge myself with anything that interests me. I like to learn shit. It came from having undiagnosed ADD when I was in school (back before they knew what it was) so I was labelled a retard by uneducated ppl who didnt have a clue as to what they were talking about. Once I got older I quit believing I was a retard/slow/dumb and took it upon myself to show those dumb asses that they were wrong in their "expert opinion". I found out that not only am I not nearly as dumb as ppl (or myself for that matter) thought that I enjoyed a challenge and soaked up technical/hands on stuff like a sponge. Now Im WAY more qualified in most everything than those same "authority figures" (read guidence councelors, teachers, and my parents) would ever hope to be. Writing software still makes my head hurt but other than that I dont think I'll ever go hungry because I cant find work due to lack of skills.
I dont wanna come off arrogant here as I really hate arrogance but Im pretty damn proud that I came from podunk up bringings, was labelled border line retarded by "experts" but I have worked my way up to knowing a very broad spectrum of very useful things (and some not so uesful things).
Dont think you can afford all that....if youre in business it depends on what the person that youre looking at is worth to you. If your business needs none of the things I listed and just someone with a pulse Im not worth a dime to you. If your business needs someone with the same abilities I listed as well as more I didnt list a
net yearly income of 70-75k would suffice for me. A couple weeks vacation (I dont usually take vacations so two weeks is plenty) some stock options/profit sharing and coworkers that have similar talents as mine and youre company will not only be profitable but it'll kick ass too.
