Can you find any other manufacturer that makes the decision to go ahead with a product when proof is shown that a minor redesign will save many many lives?
And what of the Pinto? It never rolled over. It just exploded. Ford knew it would explode before the first one rolled off the line. But they decided that settling wrongful death lawsuits out of court would be cheaper than spending ~50 cents per Pinto to fix it before anyone died. The fact that that plan blew up in their face (

) makes it pretty puzzling that they did almost the same exact thing at least two more times.
