Funny you should bring up the Titan. Do you know why dealers had to sort out problems with ill-fitting doors on early cpoies of the latest F-150s? Because Ford wanted to release the F-150s before Nissan could get the Titan out. The drivers in the test fleets said "They aren't ready for the public yet" and Ford said "Let the dealers deal with it."

And they do. Ask anyone near the top in the car business food chain where the money is in Ford dealerships. Some people want a Ford dealership just because of the money the service departments make.
