I think that was part of his problem in the schiane with de la Rosa, twice. That and he must have broken something. He was driving way too aggresive today for the conditions of the track. I wouldn't be surprised if the FIA goes and levies a penalty for that stunt with de la Rosa, not giving him room to pass when he knew the was running slower.
he and pedro started battling when laps were in the single digits. He did the right by being aggressive because the harder he blocked, the harder de la Rosa had to try, with the possibility of slipping up and going off course. Also, this was the battle for third place, so points were a big issue. You don't just let a guy pass you in that situation. Had it been 15 or 20 laps to go, he would've probably let de la Rosa pass, and gone back to the hard compound. Either way it didn't matter due to the mechanical failure.
