Default Re: Congrats to Chris (Fabrik8) and CSU motorsports for coverage in Racecar Engineering!!

The motorsports program is a Master's degree program, there are only 2 (or 3?) schools in the country with our type of program, Clemson is the other one but they're very heavily underwritten by NASCAR. So I'm here at CSU instead. As some of you may know, I'm into composites and engine management, so NASCAR is farthest away from what I want to do. I'm an undergraduate by the way, I'm here for the masters program but still have a little ways to go.

Anyway, there are over a hundred schools in the US with a Formula SAE program, so you can take your pick, and ODU and VT both have teams. You still have to pay your dues for math and engrish though, it's a MechE degree like anything else, then the Motorsport Masters. There is no english/math free lunch unless you go to trade school (ATI, WyoTech, etc) and then you still aren't an engineer, only a technician.
