You can dynotune in 3rd all day long to get your timing, a/f, etc correct. But when a car has a 4th 1:1 and you want to show numbers you dyno it in that gear. Trust me I've been around dynos long enough to know this. I've had my share of dynos in plenty of different shops and operators. Any of them will tell you for accurate hp numbers you do 1:1 gear. Doing it in 3rd will make your numbers lower
