Alright... you all have me sold. I will be buying it back and parting it out. If anyone wants any parts, let me know. I'll make a price list once I get the car in my hands. The car will be available for test driving if someone is interested in the motor, suspension, and drivetrain.
A small list of what the car has as for aftermarket:
- Steeda G-Trac Suspension (Includes all 3 stages)
- C/C plates (keeping)
- Tokico 5 way adjustable shocks (one shock might, very slight might, need replacement)
- Eibach Sportline Springs (might keep)
- Subframe connectors (keeping)
- strut tower brace (If it fits, I will be keeping it)
- boxed upper and lower control arms
- braided stainless steel brake lines (keeping)
- FRPP Shorty Headers
- BBK 62mm Intake (I might keep. The one on the 2001 Cobra would go with the engine if this happens)
- MAC catted x-pipe
- MAC cold air intake
- Pro 5.0 short throw shifter
- 3.73 gears
- Dynomax mufflers w/ turn downs under car (less than a year old)
- Line Lock (might keep this)
Even though I'm saying that I'm keeping some of the suspension parts, if someone wants to buy all the components, I'll let go of what I would like to keep so that they can have the complete setup.
I will
NOT part out the engine. It will be sold complete with harness from intake to headers and to include the complete harness, and computer. This will stay attached to the k-member for the purposes of easy removal. Being done like this will make it a weekend job to install into a 1994-2004 V6/V8 stang.
The transmission is a T45 and will need a rebuild. The problem is the 3rd gear syncro. I know of someone that can rebuild it for a decent price. If you are granny shifting, it's fine but going through gears quickly will guarantee a grind out of 3rd and 4th. I did a quick rebuild on the tranny last year and replaced both shift forks and the gear selector plates. The previous owner did not adjust the stops correctly on the shifter which resulted in me over shifting the tranny. 5th gear syncro was also replaced. I regret not doing a complete rebuild but couldn't afford the down time. This was a year ago.
The rear end does have some leaks. It needs to be gone through and have seals replaced. It never made any noise and the traction lock does work.
The interior is tan leather. Its all in pretty decent condition except for the carpet and steering wheel. Air bags are still good as well but can only see those selling on ebay.
Other than a few scrape marks, the front and rear bumper are in good condition. The hood is in good condition as well.
I think that covers all the basics for now. I'll make a complete inventory list with prices when the car is back at the house.
