is this a 22R-E? or just 22R? make sure to have the 20R head checked for warpage. make sure to use new Toyota head bolts or get ARP studs. use a Toyota or HKS headgasket. what carbuer-traitor are you using? you'll get much better results if you do a 32/36 DGEV Weber or a 38/38 DGES rather than a Toyota carb. much better performance too! a nice Doug Thorley header and maybe a few degress from a WEBCAM and an LC Engineering adjustable cam gear will help. this will be a good time to check the condition of your timing chain. check E.L.
