I have some friends in the Raleigh area. They are Mazda guys, but they do lots of track events, autocrosses, and some are flag workers at VIR.

Unless you have a Mazda, ignore the stuff about the cars, I know that several of them go to autocrosses, a couple race SRX7, Spec Miata, or IT cars, and several are also flaggers at VIR. Contact some of them and they will get you in "the circle" in that general area.
