When'd you graduate? I know that for a period of time after I graduated ('03) the school really took a dive. Aside from teaching basic auto tech stuff that I already knew, the courses taught me a lot about alternative fuels, performance building/tuning, and really diagnosing problems on vehicles. ex.Right after school I was an alignment technician at Merchants for almost two years. Without learning EVERYTHING about suspension on cars (not just replacing parts) that probably wouldn't have been a very easy job. Anyone can be a parts changer. In fact, some people take great pride in changing a lot of tricky parts, doing swaps, etc. Then when the engine light comes on and there's a misfire those same people stand there scratching their head like "Duhhhhh, I tightened it." ATI at least got me in the door as a technician and not just some "lube guy".
