Re: Need 2stroke 125 REBUILT ASAP
i can do it no prob, been a bike mechanic for 10 years. gimme a call. number is in my sig. i do nothing but side jobs now.
if the piston hit the plug, you may have some serious probs, but i wouldn't be able to tell for sure until i got the top end of the motor apart. did you have the right plug it?
it'd have to be a plug waaay to long for the piston to actually hit it. i'd be willing to bet it leaned out and seized the piston. happens with two strokes all the time. even the slightest intake/air leak can smoke a motor in a hurry.
if you wanna bring it by, i'll pop the head/cylinder off and have a look at it for you, and i can tell you what you're looking at price wise to get it fixed.
if it seized, you might be able to get by with a bore of your cylinder, an o/s piston, rings, and gaskets. that's best case. if the cylinder is seriously screwed, you may need a new one. not cheap.
i've seen power valves come apart and screw up a top end too. if the valve comes loose, the piston smacks in on the way up and takes out the top end.
either way, i wouldn't know for sure until i had it apart.
